Readers,

I was asked today if I was a blogger for personal use or business and I didn't really know how or what to say to this question. On one hand you always want your content (blogs) to be heard among a large audience and on the other you want to make money to support your efforts.

First Question: To ask your self what it is your planning on blogging about and how it will connect with your key readers.

Second Question: What platform are you going to use to blog on? (live journal, wordpress, blogger, and the list goes on)

Third Question: How is your content going to be seen by the readers you really want to have?

Fourth Question: Will you use secondary tools to help promote your blog or relay on your blog site to do all the work? (digg, technorati, etc...)

Fifth and Final: If you are blogging for business how will you make money by blogging? Or if your efforts are for personal gain how are you going to get and keep your readers coming back? (RSS?)

I think if you can answer these simple questions before you start you will have either a very successful personal or business blog.
